Celebrate the 2024 Lunar New Year at the Comcast Center Campus
In 2024, the Comcast Center Campus welcomes the Year of the Dragon with free programming, events, and experiences. The Lunar New Year is celebrated by millions of people globally — including the vibrant cultures and communities of Philadelphia.
Anchored around the 2024 Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year at the Comcast Center Campus programming will be available from February 15 through March 8. Learn more about the new, free experience from the stars of Kung Fu Panda 4: Jack Black and Awkwafina.
“DreamWorks Po’s Awesome Lunar New Year Adventure” at The Universal Sphere™
From Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks Animation, Universal Destinations & Experiences, and Comcast Labs, The Universal Sphere presents inspiring content in a dome theater in the Comcast Technology Center upper lobby. Free and open to the public, The Universal Sphere is wheelchair-accessible and service animal friendly, offers closed captioning and Audio Description (AD), has full translations available in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, and is designated a Certified Autism Center™.
In honor of Lunar New Year, The Universal Sphere debuts new content for the first time since its 2019 opening. Featuring beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda as they prepare for Lunar New Year celebrations, “Po’s Awesome Lunar New Year Adventure” is a special cinematic experience that invites you to embark on a magical journey to Panda Village.
The experience will be offered Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last entry each day 15 minutes before closing. Advanced reservations encouraged.
Sky Lantern Experience at Panda Village
After you complete your special journey with Po, Master Shifu, and Mr. Ping, you will arrive at the Lantern Festival at Panda Village. Here, you are invited to create your own sky lantern. Select a pattern, color and customize the design, and light up the night sky with your magical glowing creation!
Kung Fu Panda 4 Photo Experience
After launching your sky lantern, capture the moment by taking a photo with your design at the Kung Fu Panda 4 photo experience, before departing Panda Village.
